We stay excited about the Colorado rafting season all year long, but summer is the best time for whitewater rafting in Colorado. In general, the Colorado rafting season can begin as early as May and last through October. However, the best three months for Colorado rafting are June, July, and August.
What do you wear white water rafting in October?
For rafting in colder weather, we strongly recommend:
- Wetsuits, splash jackets and river shoes (available for a small rental fee)
- A swimsuit and synthetic layers to wear underneath your wetsuit.
- River shoes that will not fall off in swift water and are okay to get dirty.
